Pass the RNEE Exam with the Least Amount of Studying
The Registered Nursing Entrance Exam or RNEE is another step closer to becoming a Registered Nurse and covers three basic areas: mathematics, science and reading comprehension.
Exam Details
- The exam can be both a Computer-based format (CBE) or pen and pencil at specified exam sites depending on the school at which you are applying.
- The test is generally held in the Fall and Spring but can vary by testing sites.
- Cost is normally $90 but varies by school and you must register in advance
- Practice sessions can be done online and are recommended prior to taking the RNEE.
- Recommend study guides to help you with basic understanding and determine your weak areas. You should then do several practice tests prior to your actual test
Exam Format
- The test is divided into three categories that have to be completed in four hours.
- The three categories include math, science including both life science and physical science and reading comprehension skills.
- Math will include questions in decimals, percents, geometry, fractions or measurement. Science can include genetics, molecular biology, human anatomy and physiology and the digestive system. Other topics include chemistry, molecules and compounds and organic chemistry. Physics is included involving weight and mass, motion, fluids and sound waves. Reading comprehension will include data interpretation, quantitative comparisons, table reading.
- You will be scored for each section and then have an overall score
- No calculators are allowed but you can use scratch paper and pencil.
- Test results are within 48 hours of receipt by the testing center and can be sent to the school to which you are applying.
